Busayo C. Afolabi is a highly skilled lawyer with a strong focus on Litigation and Dispute Resolution. He earned his LLB from Obafemi Awolowo University in 2018, followed by his call to the Nigerian Bar in 2019 as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Professionally, he has taken on different roles where he honed his litigation and negotiation skills. His excellent research and drafting skills led to further experience in 2021 as a Personal Research Assistant for a Judge in the Lagos State Judiciary.
In 2022, Busayo won the prestigious Chevening Scholarship, which fully funded his LLM in International Human Rights & Terrorism Law at Lancaster University, UK. During his time there, he also served as the International Student Ambassador for Lancaster Law School.
In addition to his specialization in Litigation and Dispute Resolution, he has developed a deep understanding of international legal frameworks and their application in global contexts. His expertise extends to the intersection of Law, Policy, and International Relations, both domestically and internationally.
He also explores research on regional and international criminal justice systems and their approaches to meet the evolving needs of transitional societies to prosecute crimes of serious concern.
